Our Mission
To be a catalyst for economic and social change in the North/Central neighborhoods of Jonesboro. It is our aim to create structures and opportunities through which residents and families of our targeted area, who have become disenfranchised and marginalized, can transform their neighborhoods and futures through economic development opportunities and participation in the local, regional, and statewide decision-making processes.
History
We are an outgrowth of the ecumenical activities of the pastors and congregations of four Jonesboro-area churches. These churches recognized the need to go beyond the walls of their individual buildings and even their denominational beliefs; they also recognized the importance of the holistic approach to ministry (ministering to the body as well as the spirit). These churches, located in and around our targeted area included St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Precious Love Christian Church and Miller's Temple Church of God in Christ.
Targeted Area
Our efforts are targeted in the predominantly low-to-moderate income communities of North Central Jonesboro. This area is bounded by Magnolia Road on its North; Matthews Avenue on its South; Caraway Road on its Eastern border and North Culberhouse on its Western side.
